The Conservatory
FORM Music Festival
Arcosanti, AZ
May 2019

The Conservatory, co-presented by Pulp and Patreon, was a mobile recording studio and site-specific art installation inside Arcosanti’s Red Room at FORM 2019. The space functioned as a pop-up studio for sessions and interviews, and a refuge for artists to relax and take part in collaborative opportunities.

Limonaia, a poetic reinterpretation of historical greenhouses, was designed to be the surrounding atmosphere for The Conservatory. Pulp commissioned lead designer, Erin Curry, and collaborators Evan Galbicka and Senta Achée to design and create the site-specific installation.

Lonnie Holley
Pulp Arts,
December, 2020
At the close of 2020 we had the great pleasure to host Lonnie Holley (Atlanta, GA) for an interdisciplinary artist residency. The accomplished improviser and visual artist spent his days immersed in creation, bouncing between the recording studio and crafting new sculptural and painted works in our fabrication shop.

Artists & Collaborators

We respect and nurture the creative process, taking a holistic and artist-forward approach to everything we do. It’s not one size fits all - no matter the project, whether fine art or commercial, our first priority is pairing the right artist to your endeavor.

Anastasiya Zolotukhin

Anastasiya is a Gainesville-based artist and fabricator. She received a Masters of Architecture from the University of Florida in the Spring of 2020. She has designed, co-designed and helped fabricate select pieces throughout the Pulp property. Both in school and in her personal design work she is drawn to the idea of a thinking hand, where the work has a strong connectivity to thinking through making. She hopes to celebrate the material, sometimes by challenging its initial limitations while also responding to its inherent structural or textural tendencies. In addition to her fabrication work she has also experimented with immersive projection installations and video content for numerous music and art events.

Michelle Koehlmoos

Michelle is a visual artist currently making work out of a shipping container studio at the Pulp complex. Oscillating between construction and fine arts commissions, she is frequently one of the crew for Pulp's large scale installations. She has a BFA in creative photography, focusing also on resin casting, metalworking, cyanotype and ritual object making. Her current personal work uses site specific debris as color and texture to enable contact with temporality and place.

Colin Curry

Colin is an oil painter whose artwork is concerned largely with the perils of nostalgia, for Edenic childhoods personally, and for Americana generally. A founding member of ArtLab in Gainesville, FL and of Art Mouth in Seattle, WA, and working in the art materials industry since 2006, he thrives in creative environments where he can help other artists achieve their visions. At Pulp, he applies his decade-long experience of working with other artists to Pulp’s fabrication department to develop aesthetic, material, and technical solutions for every project.
